A History with Roots

COVIDES Vineyards·Wineries, the Wine Cooperative of el Penedès, has its origin in the will of the farmers from all parts of el Penedès to elaborate wines and cavas in a professional manner, but with a personality of their own. In the year 1963, these farming entrepreneurs created a potent regional cooperative that was to represent a common identity and with the Denomination of Origin: el Penedès.

As a result of this joint effort, presently the 800 members who compose COVIDES have a capacity, installations and a technology available that converts them into the major wine cooperative of Catalonia and the third in all of Spain. COVIDES’ success is reflected through its great number of clients, as well as through the obtained awards and certificates with regard to its organisation and, principally, for its magnificent wines and cavas.
