Covides at Temps de Vi and ViJazz trade fairs

During the months of June and July, Covides has participated in the fairs Temps de Vi and ViJazz.

Temps de Vi

From June 6 to 9 took place the Temps de Vi fair, an event held in the heart of the city, with more than forty stands of the different DOs, gastronomic stands, various musical performances and a children’s area with activities related to the world of wine.

This year the fair has been held for more days but in a shorter time slot. During the four days of the fair, different tastings and pairings have been held in restaurants in the city.
At the same time, the fair has the star activity: tastings on a sailboat. The seafaring location of the municipality makes it an activity with a differentiating feature from other fairs.

ViJazz

Vilafranca del Penedès welcomed a new cultural initiative closely linked to the world of wine in 2007 with the premiere of Vijazz, the festival that linked wine and jazz in the Penedès wine region. Now, 17 years later, the event is still in force, this year on July 5, 6 and 7, in the calendar of the municipality and also in the wine as one of the essential.

Thirty wineries of the territory, the gastronomic space, the chill out areas and a stage where activities have been carried out throughout the weekend is what we have seen in this edition. Complementing this offer, the Casal Vilafranca has hosted a program of tasting and pairing activities with the wines and cavas of the Penedès as protagonists. The change of location has been one of the novelties of this year’s poster, being in an enclosed space in the Rambla Sant Francesc.

In addition, within the framework of ViJazz we also opened the Pati de Covides, with free admission, and it was a total success.
