In Covides we have been developing an environmental management system to develop our activity in a more sustainable way, taking advantage of renewable natural resources.
In this sense, the first self-consumption photovoltaic installation will soon be launched in our facilities.
The photovoltaic plant will be located in the winery of Sant Sadurní and its location is an excellent place for the exploitation of solar energy.
Some 600 photovoltaic panels have been installed with an installed power of 330 kWp and an estimated annual production of 431,424 kWh. In environmental terms, this is equivalent to planting 6600 trees or a reduction of 1654,000 kg of CO2.
This will be the starting point for the energy transition in our cooperative.
