The Girovi is distinguished because wines and cavas from all the Designations of Origin of Catalonia are presented, and because the jury is made up of both experts from the wine sector -enologists, sommeliers, winemakers, teachers and students of the School of Hospitality, salespeople, distributors, restaurateurs…-, and simple amateurs, people who are not professionally involved in the world of wine but who have taken tasting courses or who are recognized by the organization for their good judgment in this function.
This mix between the opinion of professionals and consumers is especially valued by the wineries that present their wines to the competition, which are more and more every year.
