One day before the start of the new edition of Vijazz Vilafranca, the organizers are outlining the final details of the festival in which wine and jazz are the protagonists. Tickets to attend the paying activities -the concerts of the cycle “DO Cava – Elles y el Jazz” and the tastings and pairings at El Casa – Sociedad La Principal-, went on sale in mid-June and some of them are already sold out. The Tastavins Penedès Academy is very pleased that the Vijazz Vilafranca will be held again in its usual format and that Vilafranca del Penedès will once again become the epicenter of wine and jazz during the first weekend of July.
La Rambla Nostra Senyora, the setting for the wine and cava fair
As usual in the Vijazz Vilafranca, the Rambla Nostra Senyora of the Wine Capital will once again host the wine and cava fair. This year attendees will be able to taste wine references from more than twenty wineries in the Penedès, including Covides. The space of the Rambla Nostra Senyora will also be enlivened on Friday and Sunday night by the spectacle of the Penedès Sidral Brass Band.
Also on the Rambla Nostra Senyora, the Casal – Sociedad La Principal will host the tastings and pairings of Vijazz Vilafranca. Tickets on sale on the festival website have been well received and some of the activities are already sold out. This year the many wine experiences will be paired with Almendro Origen products – cheeses, Iberian cured meats, sushi, cheeses, sweets. They have also programmed pairings of wines and cavas from the Penedès with the well-known brand of cheese cakes Jon Cake, or other tastings such as the one led by the sommelier and communicator, Meritxell Falgueras, with the winery Familia Ametller, a sparkling DO Cava with Jerezo cheeses or one of DO Penedès wines with Mallart sausages.
